Most Dazzling Oscar Looks

The Oscars are an event well known for its awarding of the achievements in the cinematic arts and sciences.  However, it could be argued that just as many people tune in to see what their favorite celebrities will wear to the ceremony.  Luckily, this year was no disappointment.  Here are some of the looks that truly dazzled last night on the red carpet. 

Priyanka Chopra

The "Quantico" actress was a presenter at this year's awards, where she stunned in an elegant confection designed by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad.  The details, the color, the fit . . . I'm in love!

Alicia Vikander

Just wow!  It was a big night for the winning Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in "The Danish Girl", and this yellow Louis Vuitton gown made sure she was noticed.  She looks like a Hollywood princess in the billowing dress made even more perfect with the glimpse that it offers her silver sandals with a Lucite block heel. 

Daisy Ridley



Hollywood newcomer Daisy Ridley, made famous by her role as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, looked exquisite in this Chanel dress and Christian Louboutin heels.  The embellishments are to die for and the fit is perfection on her slender body.  Ridley sure made a splash on her first red carpet in this look. 

Eddie Redmayne

Eddie Redmayne takes the cake for the best dressed man at the Oscars this year, and without a stylist.  Dressed in head-to-toe Alexander McQueen, the lead actor nominee looks positively dapper in a black velvet tuxedo jacket with silk lapel, black wool trousers, and black patent slippers.  Way to stand out in a sea of matching black tuxes, Eddie!





Olivia Wilde

Wilde, co-executive producer of Oscar-nominated documentary "Body Team 12", dazzled in this sexy Valentino gown.  Beautiful as ever, the stark white gown, updo, and unique choker all worked together to create the perfect Oscars look. 

Cate Blanchett

I saved the best for last here.  Cate Blanchett, nominated for her lead role in "Carol", looked absolutely ravishing in this Armani gown.  This gown is magical; Blanchett looks like a fairy princess who came to the Oscars simply to bless us with her timeless beauty.  Blanchett never disappoints on the red carpet, and this is her greatest look yet.
